How to Get Rid Of Belly Fat in 3 Steps

Coming into the bathroom every morning, looking in the mirror and seeing that spare tire you managed to put around your waist doesn't exactly do it for you, does it?

Of course, when this process of putting on a little extra weight started, it wasn't a big deal, it was something you figured wouldn't get worse, you would just start eating a little healthier, maybe exercise a bit more, and so on...

Listen, although your belly fat may be your most visible problem and you want to get rid of it as fast as you can, focusing your weight loss efforts just on this problem area is futile.

Here's the reason why: You have to focus on your entire body for weight loss to succeed at attaining your goal. Spot reduction simply does not work.

Sure, you'll get some decent abs, but what's the use when they're hidden under a layer of belly fat?

Here are the three steps you must take to get rid of your belly fat:

  • Your diet - Your diet should consist of proteins, healthy carbs, vitamins, fiber, minerals and so on. Cut down or eliminate foods that are high in sugar, fatty foods, fried foods. A lean, healthy diet keeps your body from storing the excess energy as fat on your midsection, and helps its metabolism.
  • Your Exercise Regimen - As mentioned before, spot reduction doesn't work. It is great for targeting a certain muscle group, but does not have any effect at all on the fat tissue that's located on top of the muscles.Focus on core strenghtening exercises and compound exercise : Exercise that target your entire midsection and more importantly, your whole body.
  • Aerobic training - It's simple, you simply have to burn more calories that you take in. This step, combined with the others above is what will help you succeed in losing our belly fat. Don't sit around the house, get active. Go running, biking, play basketball, volleyball, tennis, etc...
